The world's most powerful technology is

coming to the world's most popular VFX and animation software.

For the first time ever, WetaM makes a suite of Weta Digital’s proprietary software tools available through Autodesk’s ubiquitous Maya platform. Industry-leading programmes like Koru, Barbershop, Totara and Lumberjack – made famous by Weta Digital’s work on The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and Planet of the Apes – will be available to anyone, anywhere via a monthly subscription.

WetaM productises Weta Digital’s unique set of proprietary VFX tools for artists built on Maya’s open APIs, allowing artists from around the world to access to one complete—from stage to screen—cloud-based pipeline.

Weta Digital’s software service will launch WetaM and WetaH via private beta in Q4 2021 and will help to democratise VFX through ground-breaking partnerships that provide unprecedented access to the industry’s cutting-edge technology.
